Give me XGL!Very cool demo video of Linux's 3D desktop/graphic shell. All I can say is maybe I should be dual-boot Vista and Linux, or perhaps I need to invest in a new hard drive and just switch them out as I boot between them. I don't know how functionally useful any of this will be, but then the same can be said about Vista 3D fluff. I know that I intend to have Aero Glass turned off by default in our corporate image, and disabled by policy on most machines. However, I think, like any fringe technology, that eventually 'rich' content UIs will have a place in the office, but only once business analysis figure out how to use the functionalities to achieve business value. Given how well new features of Office are adopted it may be ages before anything is adopted...but oh well...I'm not deploying Vista for the graphics 'fluff'.
